Range Manager

Chris Fiegel

Firearms Instructor

Chris Fiegel served in the United States Navy from 1987–1991 as a boatswain’s mate second class and master-at-arms. He then joined the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, where he worked as a patrol officer, detective, patrol sergeant, and detective sergeant for almost 25 years. During this time, he led multiple major criminal investigations and served as one of the department’s lead firearms instructors, focusing on high-stress training on the range.

Chris also owned and operated a firearms store for over eight years. In addition to performing armorer-type repairs on AR-15s and Glock and SIG Sauer handguns, he taught concealed carry classes to citizens for several years. He enjoyed teaching officers and civilians and chose to continue teaching at Vault Arms after retiring from law enforcement.

Justin Murillo

Range Safety Officer

Justin Murillo grew up around firearms technology and developed his knowledge through research and visits to local shooting ranges. He served in the United States Army from 2014–2019 and was stationed at Fort Myer, Virginia, where he escorted foreign dignitaries visiting the United States.

During his military service, Justin spent his free time studying firearm mechanics. He uses that knowledge to teach the fundamentals of firearm safety and help visitors enjoy their time at the range.

Justin continues to expand his knowledge through courses at Sonoran Desert Institute.
